[Women's Outdoor Track & Field] Outdoor Track Opens Season at UNCW

WILMINGTON, N.C. - The St. Andrews University Men's & Women's Track & Field teams competed in their first outdoor event of the season on Friday and Saturday at Div. I UNC-Wilmington Seahawk Invitational.

On the women's side, the Lady Knights were led by Sanita Edwards (JR/Westmoreland, Jamaica)' 32nd place finish in the 100 meter prelims as she ran a time of 14.07 seconds while junior teammate Nina Havelka (JR/Charlotte, NC) finished right behind her in 33rd place in 14.2 seconds.

The duo then also competed in the 200 meters with Edwards placing 29th in 29.1 seconds while Havelka placed 31st in 29.5 seconds.

Senior Hannah Biddle (SR/Blue Bell, PA) then placed 24th out of 40 in the 800 meters in a time of 2:37.6. She then placed 18th overall out of 32 in the mile run in a time of 5:52.

St. Andrews will next take to the track on March 16-17 in the local UNC-Pembroke Classic.
