ValleyCats' Kessinger continues family baseball legacy

It was about a decade before he became the Houston Astros' second-round pick in this month's major league draft. But Kessinger was getting the best tutelage that a young shortstop could receive.
His grandfather Don was a six-time All-Star and two-time Gold Glove winner at that position during a 16-year career spent mainly with the Chicago Cubs.
"I'm so thankful he's in my corner,'' Grae Kessinger said. "For sure, any questions I've ever had, I have a quick answer and the right answer. He's had so much success, he's seen so much, played so much baseball, it's huge for me."
