From 1968 until 1983 Dick Allen's 1972 season was the brightest thing that happened for Sox fans. While he played for many teams and will likely be remembers mostly for wearing the red and white of the Phillies, I will always remember him in the red and white of the 1972 Chicago White Sox. Happy birthday to a great Sox player! If anyone has any great memories of the long ago season please share them here.
