[Women's Basketball] Tigers rally comes up short

Georgetown College women's basketball had a slow start against Cumberland University in the regular season finale in Lebanon, Tenn. The Tigers (8-21, 2-12) scored just nine points early on, but midway through the third quarter really started to get rolling. The Phoenix (19-10, 8-6) weathered the late run and eventually won 81-71.

GC trailed by 20 at the half, 21 early in the third and then with less than four minutes left were within a possession, 72-69. Shelby Beam, Markizjah Mimms and Hailey Ison led the charge.
