Ona Carbonell anuncia el nacimiento de su primer hijo, Kai

La catalana Ona Carbonell (Barcelona, 1990), la deportista con más medallas conquistadas en Mundiales de natación, anunció este miércoles el nacimiento de Kai, el primer hijo de la pareja que forma con Pablo Ibáñez. «Gracias por el cariño y profesionalidad al hospital Can Ruti (Badalona) donde he dado a luz y a la clínica Riera Bartra, mi ginecóloga y su equipo que me han acompañado en este viaje. En septiembre de 2019, Ona Carbonell anunció su intención de no participar en los Juegos de Tokio, que se tenían que disputar este verano y finalmente por la pandemia se han pospuesto a 2021, y «dar un paso al lado». «Quiero poner todas mis energías de forma prioritaria en una parte de mi vida que demasiadas veces he tenido que dejar de lado. Aunque el momento pueda sorprender, hay diversos factores relacionados con mi familia cercana que me empujan a ello. Quiero dedicar más tiempo a mi familia, que siempre está a mi lado, cuidarla como se merece y también ampliarla», argumentó entonces. Ona Carbonell tiene dos medallas olímpicas y un total de 37 medallas en grandes competiciones, entre ellas 23 en campeonatos de Mundo y 12 en Europeos.
