IWF Grand Prix Lima kicks off
The IWF Grand Prix in Lima started with a press conference where Mr. Iván Dibós, President of the Organizing Committee and IOC Member in the company of Dr. Tamás Aján, IWF President and Dr. Renzo Manyari, Peruvian Weightlifting Federation President gave information to several media representatives about the event.
On the occasion of the Grand Prix the South American Weightlifting Confederation held its Annual Congress. Participants from 14 Member Federations attended the meeting and discussed various agenda points, including the report of the President, General Secretary, Treasurer and Commissions, as well as the preparation of the future South American competitions.
The prestigious level of the event is well observed as 3 IOC Members (Ivan Dibos, Bernard Rajzman and Camilo Perez), numerous NOC heads (ARG, ECU, GUA, NCA, TTO, VIN) and 22 Peruvian Sports Federations took part in the Opening Ceremony of the Grand Prix.
