Tbilisi hosts successful and well-attended Artistic Swimming 2025 Clinic

The European Aquatics Clinics Artistic Swimming 2025 event in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi attracted a total of 165 participants from 42 countries. Credit: European Aquatics Academy

Athletes, coaches and officials gathered in Tbilisi this weekend for a highly successful European Aquatics Clinics Artistic Swimming 2025 event.

The clinic, which ran from October 17 to 19, attracted a total of 165 on-site participants from 42 countries – 38 of which were European – as well as leading EA officials including the EA President Antonio Silva.

Information was provided about the major events and achievements during the year and the new structure of European Aquatics Academy, particularly in respect of co-operation with the Technical Artistic Swimming Committee (TASC).

The Clinic also presented the latest instructions and applications of the Artistic Swimming Rules and Regulations.

Spain’s world and European medallist Emma Garcia, vice-chair of the EA Athletes Committee, spoke on the topic of “Complexity: Athlete’s Perspective.”

EA Treasurer Andida Bouma addressed the subject of Judging Complexity, while Marie Kavaklioglu of the TASC spoke about Judging Pair Acros.

Victor Cano of Spain considered the area of Safety and Pedagogy in Acro Training, while Italy’s Linda Cerutti discussed the “Challenge of Creating AI with DD”.

The introduction and review of the year was conducted by the TASC’s Ulla Lucenius.

Other EA staff on site were EA General Secretary Noam Zwi, EA Academy Manager Daniel Marinho and Sports Assistant Belen Leon.

The European Aquatics Academy would like to acknowledge the excellent organisation and support for this event offered by the Georgian Aquatic Sports National Federation.
