[Swimming] Day 2, MSC Championships: Pennington sets NAIA provisional time in 100 meter breaststroke
The men's and women's swimming programs at Shawnee State, led by an outstanding effort from Kenzie Pennington in the women's 100 yard breaststroke, continued to put up competitive efforts by claiming a sixth-place finish overall following the second day of the three-day Mid-South Conference Swimming Championships in Kingsport, Tenn. Friday evening.
Pennington, who finished fourth of 16 competitors in the 100 yard breaststroke, finished with a time of 1:08.36 to post her best overall swimming time of the season. In doing so, Pennington bested her previous time by nearly four full seconds -- and came within eight-tenths of a second of earning Third-Team All-MSC honors in the event.
