RLSS National Lifesaving Championship -Leeds

Congratulations to Lucy Hawkrigg and Sophie Morrin on achieving joint 3rd place in the National Championships on Sunday. ……only to finish 4th overall on countback.

Against fierce competition (everyone was older, bigger and more experienced!) their results were:

Life Support - 3rd

Wet initiative - 5th

Rope throw - 6th

swim & tow - 10th

All 4 challenges were agonisingly close (with 1 second covering 4 places in the swim & tow). Sophie’s rope throw at 14.3 seconds was the 3rd fastest of the day (I challenge you to get anywhere near that time!)
