Pumping this morning
Hello Friends,
Took the camera down to Dee Why to get a few snaps…
Earlier today…
As you can see from the pictures, it’s on this morning. We have sunny skies, a light westerly breeze and as of 0700, a clean 2 metre 12-second period SE swell lighting up all the usual locations. Sets were consistent and consistently head high to overhead. The wind is set to swing south and get into the 10-15 kt range as the day goes along. The tidal swing is going to be modest as well. The 1.37 m high hits at 1100 and then runs out to a 0.6 metre low at 1620.
Wondering about the weekend and beyond? Well, have a look at the Goat’s latest forecast right here.
Not really a morning for beginners at the better exposures, but Collaroy should be okay for you. More experienced riders have many options, so go forth and have yourself a top old Friday!
Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Bight is extending a ridge over New South Wales, bringing fresh south to southwesterly winds to the coastal waters. Winds will ease and turn easterly to northerly as the high slowly moves eastwards and enters the Tasman Sea during the weekend. A series of fronts is forecast to cross the coastal waters from the south early next week.
