Yeah, nah
Hello Friends,
Mainly cloudy skies over the Northern Beaches around 0800. Wind was coming lightly from the SSW, while out at sea, the MHL buoy recorded 1.8 metres of 9-second period south swell as of 0600. Surf conditions at Dee Why were not looking nearly as interesting as I’d hoped. There were a few hopefuls bobbing around at the point but I didn’t see anything come through while I was watching. Based on the conditions, I’d guess it’s knee to waist and barely catchable on the biggest ones. Up the beach from there the waves were a bit bigger but they were just as weak looking.
(oops, got interrupted. The wind’s swung south in the last hour or so and conditions are getting junkier, plus the swell seems to be getting smaller. )
If you’re wondering about the prospects for the coming week, be sure to check out the Goat’s latest forecast here.
Go well and catch you again tomorrow.
