The Goat’s Surf Forecast

0 2

Surf forecast issued Friday 2 August 2024: Seven day outlook for Sydney

Yayy ~~at last some good weather news from the Bureau for the weekend~~~~ mostly sunny, slightly warmer air temps, and light winds.

The Surf is ever so slowly exhibiting a downward trend… but as hoof pounds on keys, ocean water movements in a shorewardly direction from South East/East South East are currently registering a height of 2.978 metres, approximately, with a 12 second period. Not something you’d normally like to cop on your head, just to emphasise the point.

Surf Outlook

Looks like it should be a lot more benign over the weekend and week ahead..

Saturday: easing back into the 1-2 metre range from East South East, though it wouldn’t surprise if some leftover sets appear from time to time

Sunday: down a bit more, say around 1+ metres East..ditto

Monday: ditto

Tuesday: down some more. from the East

Wednesday: around 1 metre or less as direction turns from East to dead South

Thursday: around 1 metre or less at dead South spots

Friday: around 1 metre or less, South East

Stay warm. Stay safe. Have Fun!
