A ridge extends from a high south of the Bight to the Tasman Sea and a broad trough of low pressure extends into western New South Wales from a low over the north of the continent. This pattern is directing southeast to northeast winds across the coastal waters and is expected to persist for the first half of this week.

- Southerly 10 to 15 knots, reaching up to 20 knots inshore during the morning. Winds turning east to southeasterly below 10 knots in the late morning and early afternoon.
