Tiny but long lines showing
Hello Friends,
Nobody in the water at Dee Why that I could see from the RealSurf crows nest at 0730, but there was quite a distinct and long line showing, so the Bureau’s prediction of a swell increase late in the day looks plausible on that basis anyway. Wind was a bit chilly and coming from the west at 13-19 kts, while out at sea the aforementioned swell was 1.2 metres at 9-10 seconds from 176° (straight south). Tide was just peaking at the 0745 high. Weather should be sunny, with a high of 21 and the ocean is clean and up a touch to 19.
The anticipated south pulse is still on the cards for tomorrow, but although the weather should be sunny again, the wind call is for SE’ly, so not the best combo for the south magnets that will be producing the largest waves. Swell fades back on Thursday, but wind’s supposed to go NE, so at least some north corner options are a possibility, particularly for the early.
Have a great Tuesday everyone!
Weather Situation
Southeast to southwesterly winds will spread along the New South Wales coast today, and then gradually tend northerly later Wednesday, as a strong high pressure system slowly moves across the state and reaches the Tasman Sea. The next front looks set to arrive at the end of the week, with north to northwesterly winds increasing ahead of it.
