Drizzle and near flat to start
Hello Friends,
Only a breath of westerly at report writing time. Out at sea the swell was a metre and coming from the SE at a weak 6 second period. So, as the pictures reveal, we’re still in the grip of flatness.
We’ll have to see what the Goat says later today, but my quick take on our prospects is that we’ve got a while to wait yet.
I’m hoping for something interesting early next week…
Have a great Thursday everyone!
Weather Situation
South to southeasterly winds are easing as a trough continues to move away to the east and ridge of high pressure develops in its wake. While winds may briefly tend northeasterly along the southern coast today, fresh to strong southerly winds are forecast to develop on Friday as a high pressure system near the Bight strengthens and another trough develops to the north. A low pressure system may then develop within this trough later on Friday or Saturday, bringing the potential for strong winds and large waves to the northern waters.
