Much faded but occasional waves
Hello Friends,
Swell’s dropped a fair amount overnight so surf options are limited this morning. You’ll probably want to look at the northern ends because the 8-13 kt NNW wind was already chewing up the more exposed stretches. Catchable waves were not frequent and set wave faces were in the waist to maybe chest plus range. Swell at sea was 1.4 metres at a shade under 11 seconds apart and coming from 137° (SE). Weather was mild and sunny as we head to a high of 23C. Water is clean and 19C. First tide of the daylight hours is a 0.7m low at 1015. We’re back to the high at 1700.
Swell’s set to fade into the metre range today, but tomorrow we’re back to cloudy and windy conditions and we should see an influx of both south and east swells. The windy conditions are going to be a feature of Wednesday too and the combo swell should be at peak intensity on a showery day dominated by W-SW wind.
The back half of the work week is currently looking like having waves at spots that take a dead south swell.
Have a great Monday!

Weather Situation
A high pressure system currently overhead will reach the Tasman Sea today while a significant cold front approaches the southwest of the state. This front will generate fresh to strong north to northwesterly winds along the New South Wales coast today ahead of a strong southerly change on Tuesday. After this, a low pressure system may develop on Tuesday night over the central or northern coastal waters but is expected to move away to the east on Wednesday.
