Grey and small but not flat

0 97

Hello Friends,

Grey skies and a steady 8-12 kt north wind greeted early risers on Friday morning. Out at sea the swell was a metre at 11 seconds from the ENE (116°) and that was delivering waist to chest high wave faces on sets at focal points along the beach north from the point. Tide was about an hour off the 0825 high when I took the pictures. It’ll be back to low at 1400, by which time the wind will probably be in the 15-20 kt range out of the north to NW. We should see a high of 18 (same as the sea) today and the Bureau tells us that some rain is a near certainty.

Outlook is for the wave energy to fade across the day. The Mighty Goat is still off the grid this morning, so in his stead I’ll just say that it looks like tomorrow will be very small and Sunday could be close to flat. Beyond that it was not looking inspiring on the long range models…

Go well with your day everyone and stay safe!
