The Goat’s Surf Forecast
The Goat’s Surf Forecast
Surf forecast issued Thursday 7 July 2022: Seven day outlook for Sydney
The offshore wind on Thursday was starting to clean up the sizeable wave faces, but the water appearance was definitely not clean.
Big chunks of logs rolling around in the shore break mean there’s sure to be more river debris in the ocean that’ll eventually try to make its way to shore.
The weather outlook from the Bureau is for better but cooler weather than last week, with several days of brisk offshores and lighter winds. The winds should further improve the surf appearance for the super keen, but there’s still the water quality issue to consider as rainwater runoff and river runout continues.
The Surf Outlook is for some more large days ahead, which will definitely not be for the inexperienced or unfit, if indeed anyone will be all that keen.
Friday: somewhere around 2-3 metres East South East
Saturday: similar, but from South South East
Sunday: coming up.. could be 4-5 metres South East
Monday: back a little, say 3-4 metres South East
Tuesday: easing back into the 1-2 metre range South East
Wednesday: ditto
Thursday: could be starting to come up into say the 2- 3 metre range at dead South spots.
