Off the richter for the early
Hello Friends,
At daybreak the wave buoys were seeing 6.5 metres of 14.5 sec SE swell. Wind was WSW at 12-20 kts at 0600 and tide was coming in to the 1.66 m high at 1000. Weather outlook was for the odd light shower this morning, but clearing this afternoon.
From the look of things, the low is moving away from us pretty quickly and by tomorrow afternoon the energy levels should be back into the normal 1-2 metre range. The front half of the coming week could be just about flat but sunny and nice. Right now the long range models are showing a fresh easterly pulse filling in (with onshores) from around Thursday. Beyond that is of course highly speculative, but I’m really liking the look of the 11-13 April right now… could it be our first taste of classic autumn conditions…?
Have yourself a great Saturday and go check out the beach at some point if you can.
