Dullsville Sunday morning

0 23

Hello Friends,

Another grey old day along the beaches. Wind was out of the south at 10-15 kts when your loyal correspondent climbed aloft to the RealSurf crowsnest. It’s been blowing that way since 0400, and doing the faint south wind swell (1.25m @ 8 seconds) no favours. The one person I saw catch something can be seen in the picture below. Water’s warm at 24C, so there is that I guess.

Outlook for any positive change to surf conditions remains unpromising for the next few days. With luck we may start to see a noticeable uptick in energy levels on Wednesday as some east swell starts to fill in. By Thursday the more optimistic models are showing 2 metres of 10-11 sec straight east with light wind for the early. On current reckoning, the east swell regime could stay in place into next week… now, if only the wind will play nice…

Hope you’re responsibly managing the pandemic today by wearing the N95 when you’re around others and keeping up the scavanger hunt for RATs, masks, groceries, etc. If you’re having a tough time of it, why not take a moment to share your experiences with our esteemed health minister ? I reported our family’s RAT results to him last week. Well, not to him, to his voice mail because the office was shut for the hols. I believe they’re back at work on the 10th. ps: two tips you didn’t ask for: when interacting with public servants, always be polite (obviously) and always ask for a response in wrtiting to your questions.

Go well one and all!
