Elly Was Sobbing as She Rejected Angel Geologist Adam on The Bachelorette Tonight

0 16

Fan favourite Adam Todd, the buff geologist, was brutally rejected by Elly Miles on tonight's episode of The Bachelorette and the nation is in mourning.

Adam took Elly surfing for their hometown date, sharing a kiss on the sand. Then she met his sister, Steph, and brother-in-law, Justin, over Zoom - it was the first time Adam had ever introduced a romantic interest to his family. But the conversation ended with Adam's sister fearful that her brother might end up "heartbroken" at the end.

Standing outside the mansion, Adam had his last chance to tell Elly that he was falling for her, but was too shy and awkward to find the words to explain how he was feeling. All he managed to say was that it was "special" that Elly had met his sister and brother-in-law, before they shared their last kiss.

Despite having a strong physical and sweet emotional connection, which we saw peak on their body-painting date to the zoo, Adam didn't receive a rose at the final rose ceremony, Elly having previously hinted that he might not be ready for the kind of serious relationship she's looking for.

"You have been who you are from the very start and that's why you stood out so much for me. Whoever ends up with you, bloody hell, they're going to be such a lucky person. I mean that from the bottom of my heart," Elly said through tears after she'd walked Adam out.

Adam wrapped her in a reassuring hug as she cried, offering, "It's OK," before hopping into the waiting car. He reflected on the ride out, "Elly's the most beautiful and lovely person I've met. I'm always going to care about Elly - she's amazing. I liked Elly. She made me feel really, really special."

Adam is the rock-loving sweetheart Australia needed to meet this year - we know he'll find his person!
