Hello Friends, Plenty of folk in the water along the beach north from the SLSC. They were doing a lot of waiting too. The rare sets were, as the picture shows, about waist high. In between, you’re pretty much sitting in a millpond.

Hello Friends, A sunny holiday weekend Sunday and there are waves to be had. Dee Why was seeing waist to maybe even shoulder plusses on the bigger sets at 0900. Swell at sea was a metre at 13 seconds from 127° and wind was a light 6-8 kts from the WNW.

Hello Friends, Icy early thanks to the cold air and 7-13 kt WNW wind, but skies were mostly clear and on top of all that, Dee Why was seeing waist to maybe shoulder high sets for the hardy specimens getting amongst it by 0800.

Hello Friends, Grey skies and a balmy 8C as of 0800. Ocean was smooth but still mostly microscopic. Out at sea the swell is up over the metre mark at 9 seconds from the NE. Tide was high at 0810 and will be back to low at 1445.

Hello Friends, Another day of microscopic surf conditions for World Ocean Day. The best wave I saw was the one shown below at Queenscliff. Super clean and pretty, but very short period – and the crew on ’em were doing a lot of waiting.

Hello Friends, No surf whatsoever at Dee Why on a chilly grey Tuesday morning. We could have a late shower this evening and then we’re in for three rainy, cold days. There is some prospect that the swell will start coming back into the surfable range by Friday and Saturday.

Hello Friends, Looks like there are a few knee to waist high peaks at better exposures this morning. Wind was 10-12 kts from the west. Swell is a metre at 9 seconds from 150°. Tide was high at 0520 and is currently dropping to the low at 1130.

Hello Friends, Chilly 8C start for the early risers out looking for a wave at first light this Saturday. Wind was 9-10 kts from the west and out at sea the wave buoy was seeing 2.4 metres of 10-11 second straight south swell.
