Biodegradable Surfboard Packaging

In the last decade or two the surf industry has been undergoing a shift toward more environmentally friendly surf apparel. We have seen wooden boards explode especially amongst the ‘flat white’ drinking hipsters. We have seen wetsuits take a turn toward the greener side of life and some Countries have taken it to the next level and banned certain sunblocks so as to decrease its effect on coral. Sticking on the green agenda a company out in Cornwall, England, have created a truly unique approach to surfboard packaging. Their name, Flexi-Hex. The traditional approach involves a helluva lot of bubble wrap and other non-biodegradable materials. Current packaging can also be rather arduous, taking up to 30 mins to wrap up tooooit.
