Sheffield United say they didn’t deliberately delay information to the inquest into Maddy Cusack suicide

January 6 – Sheffield United have denied they deliberately delayed the inquest into the death of former player Maddy Cusack, the clubs record appearance holder, aged 27, by providing 699 pages of information just before Christmas having originally been given a deadline of end November.

Originally scheduled for April last year before being rearranged for this month, the inquest has now pushed back to June 29 by Chesterfield Coroners Court yesterday.

Cusack died by suicide in September 2023 with Derbyshire police saying there was no evidence of wrongdoing.
