UFC 317: Two new bouts finalize Ilia Topuria vs. Charles Oliveira fight card
The UFC’s annual International Fight Week card is now official.
On Friday, the promotion announced two new bouts for UFC 317, which is set for June 28 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Among the new contests, a welterweight matchup between longtime veteran Niko Price and knockout artist Jacobe Smith. EuroSport was first to report the matchup.
The 29-year-old Smith makes his second octagon appearance after earning a contract on Dana White’s Contender Series this past October. In his UFC debut, Smith destroyed Preston Parsons via first-round knockout.
Price has had a tough run with just two wins in his past nine outings. “The Hybrid” makes his first 2025 appearance following a decision loss to Themba Gorimbo in October.
Also added is a middleweight tilt, as Sedriques Dumas faces promotional newcomer, and undefeated Jackson McVey — who has a 100 percent finish rate over a six-fight pro run for LFA and Shamrock FC. The bout was first reported by Octagon Update.
The card also no longer includes the middleweight bout between Paulo Costa and Roman Kopylov. MMA Fighting confirmed with multiple people with knowledge of the promotion’s plans that the fight is being targeted for UFC 318 next month in New Orleans.
With Costa vs. Kopylov off, the bantamweight contest between Payton Talbott and Felipe Lima is now slated to kick off the main card.
UFC 317 is headlined by a vacant lightweight title fight between Ilia Topuria and Charles Oliveira, while Alexandre Pantoja defends the flyweight title against Kai Kara-France.
