It appears Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford will give boxing fans what they want to see.

According to The Ring Magazine, which is owned by head of Riydah Season Turki Alalshikh, reported Monday that agreements are in place for Alvarez to put his super middleweight titles on the line against Crawford in the main event of a Riydah Season show in Las Vegas. The bout is expected to take place in September, although an official date was not revealed or reported.

Alvarez has earned decision victories in his past five outings following a loss to Dmitry Bivol in May 2022. The Mexican Superstar went 2-0 in 2024 with wins over Edgar Berlanga and Jamie Munguia. Alvarez also holds a win over Gennadiy Golovkin during his current run.

Crawford is set to bump up two weight classes to take on the challenge of Alvarez. “Bud,” a four-division titleholder, competed once in 2024, earning a decision against Israil Madrimov in August, which snapped a streak of 11 straight stoppages for one of the top pound-for-bound boxers on the planet.
