Nike finally announced A'ja Wilson's signature shoe and fans rightfully lost it
Well it’s A’bout dang time.
After hearing non-stop criticism and pleas from WNBA fans, A’ja Wilson is finally getting a signature shoe from Nike.
We’ve been writing about the need for Wilson to get her own line for a very long time as other stars like Caitlin Clark and Sabrina Ionescu were given the sneaker treatment.
The Las Vegas Aces star broke her own news on Saturday by posting a photo of herself wearing a Nike sweatshirt that read “Of Course I Have A Shoe Dot Com” and when fans visited the URL they were met with a message from Nike giving the two-time MVP her flowers and then some.
“It’s been incredible working with Nike toward a dream of having my collection, and it really is an honor to take this next step and become a Nike signature athlete,” Wilson told Boardroom. “From my logo to the look of the shoe and the pieces throughout the collection, we’ve worked to make sure every detail is perfectly tuned to my game and style.”
Fans, understandably, went wild over the news as we await more details (and mock-ups) of what the sneaker could look like.
