Steph Curry sets the NBA record for threes through four games

0 5

He just keeps breaking records.

When all is said and done, Steph Curry is going to hold just about every shooting record in the book. The Golden State Warriors superstar may only be 30, but he’s universally regarded as the greatest shooter in NBA history, and he keeps showing that.

It only took him a week into the 2018-19 NBA season to set another record, though admittedly he was breaking a record that he had already set. With six three-pointers during Monday’s route against the Phoenix Suns, Curry set the record for most threes through the first four games of a season, with 22. It bested the mark he set during his unanimous MVP campaign in the 2015-16 season.

The 5.5 made threes per game put Curry on pace for 451 this season, which would shatter the NBA record of 402, which he also set during that magical season.

Of course, Curry is unlikely to sustain this pace, and is unlikely to play 82 games, but still. . . he’s shooting out of his mind right now. As we’ve come to expect from him.
