There’s a little over three miles between Pontypridd and Beddau rugby clubs, and with many links between them this derby clash had been hyped up for several weeks prior to this match at Sardis Road.
Munster take on Leinster this Saturday at a sold-out Thomond Park in Round 8 of this season’s United Rugby Championship (7.45pm). Earlier this week Head Coach Clayton McMillan, Forwards Coach Alex Codling and Jack O’Donoghue all spoke to the media ahead of this weekend’s eagerly anticipated tie.
On Friday 26th December Pontypridd RFC welcome Beddau RFC to Sardis Road for a Boxing Day derby clash in the Admiral Premiership, kick off is at 2:30pm. It’s just over 51 years since Beddau last visited Sardis for what is to date the only competitive fixture between the two clubs.

The Munster squad have started preparations at the HPC ahead of Saturday’s URC Round 8 clash against Leinster at Thomond Park (7.45pm). The game is sold-out and will be live on Premier Sports. Both teams will be named at midday on Christmas Eve.
Next up the festive derby clashes keep on coming for Pontypridd RFC when, on Boxing Day Friday 26th December, Beddau RFC make the short trip to Sardis Road. The Admiral Premiership match between the sides kicks off at 2:30pm.
