Karate Combat to stream events in 4k on Iron Dragon TV

Full-contact Karate league Karate Combat has just landed a deal with Iron Dragon TV to stream their events in 4K Ultra HD.

The new full-contact karate sport known as Karate Combat has just inked a deal with martial arts based channel Iron Dragon TV, that can be found on the UltraFlix network that streams on AppleTV, Google Play, Roku, and other platforms. The channel will provide remastered Karate Combat events that will exclusively stream in 4K Ultra HD.

Karate Combat held its first event, Inception, this past April from Miami, Florida, with the event streaming live, and for free, on the promotion’s website, along with many other platforms. The night showcased top Karateka from around the world doing battle in a unique pit area with embankments all around.

So what does this deal mean for you? Well, you’ll get to watch full-contact karate in 4K, and you’ll get to see those events remastered, which could make for a different viewing experience for combat sports. If you go over to Karate.com and check out the preseason bouts, then that could give you an indication of the sort of production level to be expected from a remastered event. The next Karate Combat event has not yet been announced, but it is scheduled for June of this year.

In a press release, Karate Combat’s CEO Michael DePietro had this to say:

“Karate Combat is all about revitalizing this martial art, and making fans feel like they are part of the action,” DePietro went on, “So offering our premium events in 4K with UltraFlix and Iron Dragon TV is a perfect fit.”
