Special QPSA Guests Visit Lochinch for look behind the Scenes at Spiders Training

0 63

CONGRATULATIONS to Alan Raeburn who was the lucky winner of a behind the scenes tour of Queen’s Park training at Lochinch in the QPSA raffle.

Alan was joined by friend and fellow Spiders supporter Michael Higgins to tour the first-team facilities in Pollok Park at the end of last month.

Stopping off in the bootroom, players’ gym and media interview room, the long-time fans met players and staff and watched Sean Crighton and Jim Duffy put the squad through their paces in preparation for our recent match against Dunfermline.

Afterwards, they joined the first-team in the canteen for lunch – sitting alongside the boss with the opportunities to pick his brains over the tactics and season so far.

Alan said: “Myself and Michael had a great time visiting Lochinch as a prize in the QPSA raffle.

“Sean, all the staff and all the players were very friendly and welcoming. Lochinch is a fantastic facility and QP are very lucky to have it. I would encourage anyone who hasn’t seen it to try to arrange a visit.

“We had a great lunch too – not that I need it! Thanks to Kieran for organising it all and even giving us a lift back to Mount Florida.”

First-team manager Sean Crighton added: “It was great to meet Alan and Michael and congratulations again on winning their prize from the QPSA.

“We really appreciate the support the QPSA has delivered this year directly to the team and from the stands, and hope we have gone some way to repaying it with the performances on the pitch.

“I’m sure like many Alan and Michael were impressed by the facilities we have at the club and hope they enjoyed their day.”

Head of commercial Kieran Koszary went on: “Thanks to Sean and the staff and players at Lochinch, particularly our esteemed guides Stuart and Peter who provided some insight around our fantastic facility.

“We were pleased to welcome Alan and Michael to Lochinch as part of the QPSA raffle and supporting the association in this way.

“We value the supporters’ association support on a variety of initiatives we have run and collaborated on this year including the return of our 50-50 draw with Howden Insurance and the captain’s armband initiative with first-team captain Euan Murray.”
