Panzo is a left footed centre half, that was clearly shown by the AI model as a potential player available for the right price that had development and investment potential.
But why was he played at left back today? All our left backs are currently injured. Ethan Laird is more than adequate there and Jack Robinson played there early on in his career.
Did Davies decide to play him there, or was AI analytics used to decide which player was best suited to play.
We could have risked Laird at left back, even though he is still coming back from a long injury lay off. But instead it was decided to play a left footed centre half.
Maybe if we had a sniff of the play offs, we would have risked Laird, but we decided on Panzo instead. I'd love to know what data helped inform that decision though.
