Roberto De Zerbi makes Tottenham guarantee after rumours of Premier League relegation clause

Roberto De Zerbi has clarified what he will do if Tottenham Hotspur get relegated from the Premier League this season.

There is no doubt that eyebrows were raised when it was announced that De Zerbi had signed a five-year deal with Tottenham, given his history of not lasting long at clubs.

De Zerbi’s comments will send the right messages to Spurs players and fans

Having an interim in place did not work for the Lilywhites, as it is always difficult for Igor Tudor to get a buy-in from the squad when the players know that there will be a new guy in charge in the summer.

That was perhaps why Tottenham decided to push forward a permanent appointment, and according to reports, De Zerbi was always Spurs’ top managerial target for the summer.
