This is it for me. His stats were always going to appear average with average options around him and particularly the team's style of play hindering him.On the progressive passess, he has far more options to pass to now, with KDH, Grealish, Ndiaye always offering between the lines. I think thats helped him be a more effective mf and add that to his game.
It's as much who he's now working with and particularly how they're working, than any massive increase to his individual capacities.
Yes he's been more adventurous going forward, but he's been allowed to do so more readily with the direction and the confidence that he and the team have been given. His link up play with KDH, Jack and recently Beto show this.
Moyes has created synergies as well as strategies in the team this season that have made a lot of our players much more effective. A lot has come from the quality of player that has been added around Garner too. Options for him to do more effective things.
