Juventus hold Retegui talks as Fenerbahce call Openda
Tuttosport newspaper reports that Mateo Retegui has held talks with Juventus after Milan, while Turkish side Fenerbahce have shown interest in Lois Openda.
Italy international Retegui is eager to return to Serie A after just one season at Al-Qadisiya, and, according to Tuttosport, his father has held direct talks with Juventus in recent days.
Tuttosport reported earlier this week that one of Retegui’s agents had also met Milan director Igli Tare.
Juventus’ main target in attack remains Randal Kolo Muani, followed by Retegui, Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee and Chelsea-owned Nicolas Jackson.
Juventus are determined to sign a new centre-forward for 2026-27 regardless of Dusan Vlahovic’s possible contract extension.
The Serie A giants will be listening to offers for Jonathan David and Openda, and, according to the report, the latter has already received an initial inquiry from Fenerbahce, coached by ex-Belgium boss Domenico Tedesco.
Retegui has already returned to Italy to prepare for the Azzurri’s World Cup play-off.
The 2024-25 Serie A top-goal scorer has netted five goals in six matches under Gattuso.
