Livingstone Reflects On Celtic Draw

0 2

Rosie Livingstone described Hibs Women’s 1-1 draw away at Celtic as “a hard one to take" as she believes the Hibees created enough chances to win the game.

We found ourselves behind after 22 minutes as Amy Gallacher put the hosts ahead. We replied with an equaliser 18 minutes later as Eilidh Adams netted her 14th goal of the season to bring the tie level, with Livingstone assisting Adams’ strike.

Speaking to Hibs TV after the tense battle, Livingstone admitted she thought we should have returned to the capital with all three points.

“I think it's a hard one to take. I feel like we had enough chances to probably put the game to bed and take all three points, but I think we can also just take as much positivity from that performance as there.

”I think we showed good quality and had good moments. It's just important that we now get that across the full 90 minutes."

Livingstone recorded her ninth assist of the season and spoke on how “happy” she feels whenever she assists her teammates.

“I actually think we started the game really well, and then they scored against the momentum, so I think we were down a little bit.

"I feel like getting that goal at quite a crucial time just before the half was good. I’m always happy to assist."

Looking ahead, Hibs Women welcome Rangers to Meadowbank and Livingstone believes there are “so many positives” to take into the fixture from the draw at Celtic.

"I think the split is always an exciting time, playing the best teams constantly. Sometimes I feel like I wish you had a little bit more rest, but no.

"There are definitely so many positives that we can take from the game today, and then just go play Rangers and hopefully get three points.”
