Club Statement: Muhammadu Faal

Following an injury sustained during the Weston-super-Mare match on Tuesday 3 March, it has been confirmed that Muhammadu Faal has suffered a ruptured Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL).

The injury was diagnosed at KIMS Hospital, the club’s medical partner, and will require surgery.

The procedure and subsequent rehabilitation mean that Muhammadu will miss the remainder of the season, with his recovery expected to continue throughout pre-season and into the early months of the 2026/27 campaign.

Manager George Elokobi said: “I am devastated for Muhammadu Faal and wish him the speediest of recoveries.

“We know from previous experiences that this type of injury requires expert medical attention and significant rehabilitation afterwards.

“From my conversations with Mo, I know he is absolutely gutted by what has happened. Equally, he is determined to work hard under the direction of the medical professionals to get himself back to full fitness.

“These injuries not only affect physical health but also impact mental health too. I know Mo will draw on his own strengths and beliefs, as well as those of his family, friends and everyone at Maidstone United Football Club.”
