EVERYONE at Queen’s Park FC would like to congratulate under-19s coach Charley King on his recent Scotland call-up.
Charley, a long-time coach behind the scenes at the Spiders Academy and current head coach of the league leading under-19s side, has been assisting Brian McLaughlin and the national under-17s men at a training camp in Spain which included two friendlies at the Pinatar Arena.
The camp formed preparation for their Elite Round qualifiers against Spain, Northern Ireland and Turkiye later this year.
On Wednesday their first friendly ended in a 2-0 defeat to Norway. The squad faced Poland on Saturday, losing narrowly 4-2, before returning to Scotland where King will begin his Queen’s Park squad for the Scottish Youth Cup semi-final with Aberdeen on Friday.
More details of this match will be released in due course.
