Fixture updates for HOLLYWOODBETS COSAFA Women’s Championship 2025

There have been several changes to venues for matches at the HOLLYWOODBETS COSAFA Women’s Championship 2025 due to logistical reasons, which will now see the competition kick-off at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday.

The first three days of competition will be at the venue, before the action moves to the Seshego Stadium from Saturday.

The semi-finals, third-place play-off and final will all be staged at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium as scheduled, with thew 2010 FIFA World Cup venue a fitting backdrop for the finale.

Eleven teams will compete for regional honours as the tournament opens on Wednesday with Group A fixtures at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium as Lesotho face Angola at 12h00 CAT (10h00 GMT), before hosts South Africa take on Malawi at 15h00 CAT (13h00 GMT) in a meeting between the top ranked side and the 2023 champions.

Group B action begins on Thursday also at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium. Eswatini meet Zimbabwe at 12h00, followed by Zambia against Botswana at 15h00, as the holders start their title defence.

The three-team Group C gets under way on Friday when Mozambique play Namibia at 15h00 at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

The tournament moves to Seshego Stadium on Saturday. Malawi face Lesotho at 12h00, before South Africa meet Angola at 15h00 in their second Group A fixture.

Group B resumes on Sunday at Seshego Stadium. Botswana take on Eswatini at 12h00, followed by Zambia versus Zimbabwe at 15h00 in what could prove decisive for the group standings.

Group C continues on Monday when Namibia face Madagascar at 15h00 at Seshego Stadium.

The final round of Group A and B matches will be played from Tuesday, February 24.

The top teams in each pool and the best runner-up will advance to the semi-finals.

The knockout phase begins on Friday, February 27 at New Peter Mokaba Stadium. The semi-finals see the winner of Group B face the winner of Group C at 12h00, before the winner of Group A meets the best runner-up at 15h00, unless the latter is also from Group A.

After a rest day on Saturday, February 28, the tournament concludes on Sunday, March 1. The third-place playoff will be played at 12h00, followed by the final at 15h00, where the 2025 champions will be crowned.
