FAI submits bid to host 2029 UEFA Women’s Champions League final
February 5 – The Football Association of Ireland (FAI) has formally submitted a preliminary bid to stage the 2029 Women’s Champions League final at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium.
The FAI has been working quietly on the proposal for several months, having first signalled its interest to UEFA last October. That exploratory phase has now progressed into a formal submission, backed by feasibility work carried out alongside the Irish government, Dublin City Council and stadium operators.
