Buck’s Bar Player of the Month – January 2026 vote now open

JANUARY saw two penalty shoot-outs, two wins and two games postponed for Queen’s Park.

It was another roller-coaster month for the Spiders who ended on a high with a 2-1 win over Arbroath having been placed in cold storage by the wintry weather early on in the month.

The question is, however, who stood out for you in the five games last month?

So far there have been four winners of our Player of the Month award – Matty Shiels and Josh Fowler each landed the prize, supplied by the rock’n’roll chicken restaurant in Cathcart Road, twice.

Charlie Fox also won the vote in October too before being cruelly struck down by injury, and last month captain Euan Murray was top of the pile.

Who’s next – and who will try the chicken wings and sauce picked for them by the skipper?
