Radu Dragusin’s agent speaks out on AC Milan rumours and claims Tottenham have lowered price

0 14

Radu Dragusin’s agent has revealed whether he has spoken to any club about his client and has discussed the possibility of the Tottenham player moving to Italy before Monday’s transfer deadline.

Several Spurs players continue to be linked with late exits, but none appear close to a departure from N17 at the moment.

Thomas Frank declared last week that Tottenham will not be offloading any more players this window, and so far, the Lilywhites appear to be staying true to their word.

The player who seemed most likely to head out the door until last week was Radu Dragusin, who was heavily linked with a move to AS Roma, and his agent has now set the record straight about his future.

Radu Dragusin’s agent says he has not been contacted about Tottenham exit

A few days ago, it emerged that AC Milan had entered the race for Dragusin and was making plans to push through a late deal.

However, the centre-back’s outspoken agent, Florin Manea, has made it clear that he has had no contact with Milan sporting director Igli Tare or anyone else, but he refused to close the door on a late exit for his client.

When asked about the speculation linking Dragusin with a move to the Rossoneri, Manea told Digi Sport (as relayed by Sport Witness): “Nobody spoke to me. I’ve known Igli Tare for a long time, but I haven’t spoken to him.

“I’m going to Italy; I have some work there. If there’s interest in Radu and someone wants to contact me, they know where to find me. I’ll be in Italy tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, but not for Radu.

“I also followed with bated breath what was happening with the transfer, they all knew better than me. I had seen something that Tottenham had lowered the price, but I didn’t know anything. All that came out was speculation.

“Of course, Radu also finds out about this information, but I told him that I’d let him know if anything comes up. It’s wonderful how much there is speculation. There’s nothing to destabilise him.”

Why Dragusin’s sale is unlikely at this stage

Now that Ben Davies has been ruled out with a long-term injury, Tottenham may not want to weaken themselves further in defence.

The club are unlikely to consider offloading Dragusin unless they manage to bring in another centre-back through the door.

With Spurs not appearing to be close to signing any central defender, the Romanian will likely have to stay put until the summer.
