It appears that the Dutchman was buoyed by the speculation linking him with a move to N17 as he delivered a masterclass.
Summerville had two shots on target, nine touches in the opposition box, had two successful dribbles, and completed 19 of the 21 passes he attempted against the Black Cats.

Spurs face a roadblock in the January Summerville deal
Getting a deal over the line for the Netherlands international is proving to be far from straightforward for the Lilywhites.
This is according to Tottenham insider, Paul O’Keefe, who revealed that West Ham do not want to sell Summerville in January.
He explained that Spurs may have to wait until the summer to get a deal over the line for the former Leeds United man.
