Lucca joins Nottingham Forest: official statement
“He made his debut for the Azzurri on 23 August 2025 against Sassuolo away at the Mapei Stadium, and on 22 September, he scored his first goal for Napoli in a home win over Pisa. He has featured 23 times for the club, scoring two goals, and claimed Italian Super Cup glory on 22 December last year. Best of luck, Lorenzo!”
Lucca had joined Napoli from Udinese in July 2025, completing an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy.
The 25-year-old forward has struggled to settle in under Antonio Conte, playing less than 600 minutes across all competitions with the Partenopei.
Following Romelu Lukaku’s injury in August, Napoli rushed to sign Rasmus Hojlund from Manchester United, and the Dane has started practically every game since his move from Old Trafford.
Lucca made his Italy debut in October 2024 under Luciano Spalletti. The striker has collected five international appearances, but has yet to score a goal with La Nazionale.
Lucca reunites with Savona
A former Pisa, Ajax and Udinese centre-forward, Lucca had scored 23 goals in 75 Udinese games from 2023 to 2025.
Nottingham Forest also confirmed Lucca’s transfer with an official statement and said that the Italian striker will wear the No.20.
Lucca reunites with another Italian player, Nicolò Savona, who joined Forest from Juventus last summer.
