Liverpool to approach Roma for Tsimikas return
Kostas Tsimikas’ return to Liverpool from Roma appears even more likely now that several sources claim the Reds are set to approach the Giallorossi to terminate the defender’s loan spell.
Greece international Tsimikas is expected to return to Liverpool this month, especially if Andy Robertson moves to Tottenham.
Roma ready to part ways with Tsimikas
Italian sources already reported earlier this week that Roma were willing to send the defender back to Anfield as the 29-year-old has failed to impress during his loan spell at the Olimpico.
Now, according to Ben Jacobs and Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool are prepared to formally ask for Tsimikas’ return as Robertson is close to joining Tottenham.
Tsimikas to replace Robertson at Liverpool
The Scotland captain is reportedly eager to move to North London, so Tsimikas would replace him in the Liverpool squad.
Ben Jacobs reports that sources close to Tsimikas confirm the player is keen to return to Liverpool.
The Greek left-back has only collected 672 minutes of football while on loan at Roma, providing one assist in 16 appearances.
