Adams On Rangers Away & Invaluable Hibees Support

0 14

Eilidh Adams has praised the indispensable Hibernian Women support ahead of our trip to Broadwood Stadium this weekend.

Joelle Murray's side are keen to get back to winning ways in the league after a tricky run of league results at the end of 2025.

Speaking to Hibs TV, centre-forward Adams touched on last weekend's narrow defeat to Celtic in the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup and what learnings can be taken from the match.

"I think we’re probably a bit disappointed, given the past couple of results. I think we did really well on Sunday to get back into the game and then we've conceded a sloppy goal from our perspective. So, disappointed in that sense, but we've done our analysis from that game and we're looking to kind of have our heads held high going into Sunday's game.

"We know that a game against Rangers is always a good game for the neutrals anyway. So we know it'll be another tough game, but one we're all really looking forward to.

"I think just sticking together as a group," Adams added, discussing what message had been delivered to the players this week at HTC.

"For us, it's just about sticking together and believing. And I think we're good at that as a group. I think last season we went through times where that really shone through. It's just a case of, yeah, we're disappointed with those results, but now it’s turning those wrongs into rights."

"The game at the weekend against Celtic, we were 2-0 down, and then we came out and we did really well to get back into the game to get two quick goals. For us, the game is never over. We always fight right until the end and we have that mentality within the group.

"That'll be something, again, we'll be taking into Sunday no matter how the game goes. You want to get an early goal and get the lead, but it wouldn’t knock our confidence (if not). We'll be going into the Sunday with the same mentality."

472 spectators were at Meadowbank Stadium last weekend, and we will, as ever, be backed by a vocal travelling support at Broadwood this Sunday.

Adams insists this support is crucial to success on the pitch, and is excited to put a strong performance for the Hibees this weekend.

"They're really important. We had a really good turnout last week at Meadowbank. And for us, the travelling fans are really important.

"Obviously, last time at Broadwood was a good day for them all. So hopefully from our perspective, we can put on another good performance for them.

"It means the world to us as a team. And I think they're that kind of extra player for us, especially during those tough times. We just hope we can put on a good performance for them."
