Tottenham are looking at young French left-back as well as Souza, insider reveals
Tottenham insider Paul O’Keefe has made an interesting revelation about the club’s January targets amid continued links with Souza.
While most of the focus over recent weeks has been on which big-name attacker Tottenham will bring through the door this month, the Lilywhites are also looking to strengthen other areas across the squad.
One of those is in defence, with reports indicating that Spurs are keen on adding a left-back to their squad due to the injury woes of Destiny Udogie.

Over the last 48 hours, it has been widely reported that Spurs have had an offer rejected for 19-year-old Santos starlet Souza.
Paul O’Keefe has now confirmed that the teenager is indeed on the Lilywhites’ wishlist, but he revealed that Souza is not the only 19-year-old left-back the club are looking at.
Responding to a question from a fan on social media, the Tottenham Hotspur insider claimed that the club are also eyeing Toulese youngster Dayann Methalie.
Methalie only broke into the Toulese starting eleven at the start of this season, but has already made the left-back spot his own, even featuring as a wing-back at times for the Ligue 1 side.
The profile of Spurs’ left-back targets tells a story
The fact that Tottenham are targetting a young, up-and-coming left-back suggests that Thomas Frank sees Destiny Udogie as his first choice.
The club are clearly bringing in a backup, and they can afford to groom a teenager for the next six months, with Ben Davies’ contract running out in the summer.
Unlike other positions, where Tottenham need a readymade starter, the club are future-proofing for the left-back spot.
