Jaylen Brown Names His Favorite Celtics Player Of All Time

Since being drafted by the Boston Celtics with the third pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, Jaylen Brown has been carving out his legacy. The explosive forward won a championship with the Celtics in 2024. He’s a four-time All-Star and one-time All-NBA Second-Team selection.

Judging by his production to begin the 2025-26 campaign, Brown will likely add another All-Star and All-NBA selection to his resume in the coming months. The explosive forward is thriving in a larger role, as he’s accepted all the responsibilities and pressure that comes with being the primary offensive weapon in Jayson Tatum’s absence due to injury.

During a recent live stream on Twitch, Brown revealed that his favorite Celtic of all time is Kevin Garnett. Judging by the way Brown has approached this season, and the competitiveness he’s shown on the court, it’s clear he’s channeling “The Big Ticket’s” on-court mentality,

“KG is my favorite Celtic of all time,” Brown said. “… He just plays the game with a fire and a rage that I resonate with… When I go out there, it’s war, ain’t no smiling, it’s win or die.”

In the 23 games Brown has played this season, he’s averaging 29.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 4.9 assists. He’s shooting 54.6% from two-point range on 15.7 attempts per night, and 36.3% from deep on almost six attempts per game.

With Brown leading the way, Boston has won eight of its last 10 games and currently sits third in the Eastern Conference. The Celtics are four games behind the Detroit Pistons, who currently occupy the first seed, and two games behind the New York Knicks.

If Brown continues to play at his current level, the Celtics will have a legitimate chance of making a postseason push, especially if the rest of the roster continues to improve and execute at a high level.
