NFL Writer Doesn’t Believe Patriots Are Top-Three AFC Team

The New England Patriots have one of the best records in the AFC and currently hold the No. 2 seed in the conference if the playoffs started today.

However, Yahoo Sports NFL writer Frank Schwab doesn’t believe the Patriots are among the top three teams in the AFC despite their excellent 9-2 record.

“Right now, I truly, honestly don’t know if the Patriots are a top-three team in AFC”, Schwab said on Tuesday. “To be honest, like I said, I think the Ravens are better, for sure. The Broncos, who have kind of died on this hill. Even teams like that, the Bills and even the Chiefs, I could make arguments. I just think the Patriots’ schedule has worked out so well that it’s almost gonna be inevitable for them to get the number one seed.”

Many people are doubting New England because of its schedule. According to Tankathon.com, the Patriots have the easiest schedule in the NFL.

Although the Patriots have an easier schedule, winning in the NFL every week remains a tough challenge. It’s impressive that New England managed to secure victories over the past eight weeks.

Despite New England’s so-called “easy wins,” it did beat the Bills in Buffalo and took down the Buccaneers in Tampa Bay, so maybe the Patriots are a good football team, and it doesn’t matter who they play.
