Mike Vrabel Reacts To Stefon Diggs’ First Patriots Touchdown
New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs finally scored his first touchdown of the season on Sunday in the team’s 32-13 win over the Cleveland Browns.
In the third quarter, quarterback Drake Maye found Diggs for a 1-yard touchdown to go up 22-7.
Head coach Mike Vrabel was thrilled as he watched his star receiver reach the end zone.
“Happy to be able to get him in the end zone,” Vrabel said on Sunday, via 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Alex Barth. “It was long overdue.”
Diggs didn’t have his best game against the Browns; aside from his touchdown, he caught only three passes for 14 yards. Even though Diggs wasn’t a primary factor, the Patriots still scored 32 points against one of the best defenses in the NFL.
New England’s offense is clicking at the right time, and rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson finally found his rhythm on Sunday, rushing for 75 yards.
The Patriots will try to extend their winning streak to six games next week when they face the Atlanta Falcons, who lost 34-10 to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
